During the offseason, NBA superstar Ben Simmons is on a real estate selling rampage. The point guard has listed his Hidden Hills property for $23 million, just days after selling his New Jersey home for $4.55 million.
Simmons, who was traded from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Brooklyn Nets earlier this year, paid $17.5 million for a brand-new residence last year and made no modifications — not that he needed to. The dramatic home, constructed in 2021, features a masculine exterior of charcoal-colored masonry and expansive, warm living areas adorned with wood, marble, and brass.
In the centre of the open floor plan, a suspended fireplace separates a living room with a fireplace from a dining room with two chandeliers. A stone staircase leads aloft to a catwalk with beam-cut ceilings.
Seven bedrooms and seven and a half bathrooms are located elsewhere, including a master suite with a Jacuzzi tub and steam shower. In 12,000 square feet, there is also a cinema theatre, gym, recording studio, and two kitchens.
The property encompasses 1.4 acres and features an entertainer’s courtyard with a cabana, fire pit, and 65-foot-long swimming pool. The guesthouse, which shares the same striking grey colour scheme as the main house, features its own plunge pool.
Recently, Hidden Hills has become a popular destination for athletes. Matthew Stafford owns three properties in the gated community, and in April, Aaron Donald paid $17 million for a mansion there.
Simmons, 25 years old, attended Louisiana State University for one year prior to being selected first overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in 2016. He was named a three-time NBA All-Star before missing the entire 2021-22 season due to mental health issues and ailments.
